About Dr. Gunjan Prakash
Dr Gunjan Prakash earned his Medical Degrees (MBBS and MD), at the most prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has over 23 years experience in Eye Surgeries. He was trained in Vitreo Retinal Surgery from Indias best Institute - RP Centre, AIIMS. He is also a proficient Phaco Surgeon for cataracts. During his training at the Apex Eye Centre (Dr Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences), Dr Prakash also completed DNB and MNAMS in Ophthalmology. He has been performing various complicated Vitreo-Retinal surgeries for Retinal Detachment, Vitreous Hemorrhage, Dislocated Nucleus/Lens, Endophthalmitis etc since 2003.
He does screening for ROP in babies. He does cosmetic squint surgeries. Dr Gunjan has taught various kinds of retina surgeries to many eye surgeons at Sarojini Naidu Medical College (Agra), Chitrakoot Eye Hospital, AIIMS (Delhi) etc. He has more than 60 Ophthalmic publications in various national and international journals.
He has organized International Conferences for Ophthalmologists at Agra in 2014. He has presented his research studies at various international conferences at Singapore and Australia. He has been invited to perform & teach Phacoemulsification at Uttar Pradesh Annual Ophthalmology Conference. Dr Prakash handles various cataract surgery complications of patients of Agra region since 2005. He performs surgery in trauma cases like corneal perforation, ruptured crystalline lens, RD, Eye bleed, Pus collection in eye.
